Forward Motion

Welcome to Forward Motion, an online learning center designed exclusively for the continuing education of musicians!  Our world-class faculty of presenters are frequent guest conductors and lecturers around the world, highly sought leaders in their respective fields.  Most of them are professors at leading colleges and universities across the United States and carry the terminal degree of Doctorate.  Forward Motion is the outgrowth of 22 years of international performance and educational opportunity produced by its parent company, Manhattan Concert Productions.

 

Forward Motion offers educational content in four user categories: VOCAL, INSTRUMENTAL, MUSICAL THEATER, and COMMON INTEREST.  Each user category features a mix of 1) asynchronous courses of varied length for learning at your own pace, 2) interactive zoom classes of limited size hosted by MCP, and 3) one-on-one private lessons and small group masterclasses for the study of performance, conducting, score study, and composition. 

 

Content in all categories is available for ala carte purchase, or, in three levels of monthly subscription: LEARNER, LEADER, and SCHOLAR.  Additionally, class access is available for educators that want to include Forward Motion content in their syllabi.

 

Several of our video courses have been augmented with text materials and assignments to qualify for GRADUATE CREDIT in partnership with Dominican University of California.  All Forward Motion content can be used for PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT as required of teachers in all states.  Completion of content is verified by Forward Motion Professional Development Certificates.
